According to the Professional Coin Grading Service, a Mint State 65 grade 1894-S dime could fetch between $1 million and $1.5 million. Even in a lower Mint State 60 grade, this rare coin brings in $400,000 to $500,000.

The 1894-S Barber dime is a true gem of American coinage. With only a small number of specimens known to exist, this rare dime is considered not only one of the most valuable dimes in American history, but one of the most valuable coins in general. In auction, these iconic coins have sold for $1 million to $2 million.

The 1894-S Barber dime is a dime produced in the United States Barber coinage. It is one of the rarest and most highly prized United States coins for collectors, along with the 1804 dollar and the 1913 Liberty Head nickel. One was sold in 2005 for $1.3 million, and another for $1.9 million in 2007.

With a total mintage of more than 50 million pieces, it should not come as a surprise that 1923(P) dimes are common across all grades through MS 65. Most Mint State survivors have excellent luster and are reasonably well struck.

In MS67, the highest graded FB example, the 1977-D Roosevelt Dime is worth just over $1,000. In just one grade lower (MS66), coins with the FB designation are worth approximately $150. This price then drops to $25 for examples graded MS65 and to between $10 and $20 for MS63 –64 graded examples.
