What is Hubbl?

Hubbl is an all-in-one streaming tool, designed to eliminate the need to sort through multiple applications before landing on a show to watch. Similar to Apple TV and Google Chromecast, the hardware for Hubbl is a compact device that can be plugged into your TV and operated via a voice-controlled remote. Its point of difference, however, is that Hubbl can connect to free-to-air TV, as well as a range of streaming applications, including Kayo, Binge, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix and more and show you what’s available on these platforms in a single interface. Hubbl also offers Hubbl Glass, which is a smart TV with in-built Hubbl connectivity.

Who owns Hubbl?

Hubbl is a streaming service owned by the Foxtel Group. This group also owns Kayo, Binge, Flash, Foxtel, Fox Sports and Foxtel Media.

Is Hubbl worth it?

Hubbl offers a number of features that are unique in the world of multi-platform streaming systems, including the Stack & Save program. If you’re looking for an entertainment system that will combine all your streaming services and give you monthly discounts, Hubbl might be the perfect match for you. Alternatively, if you’re not fussed about keeping all your subscriptions in one place, purchasing Hubbl may not be worth it. As always, it’s best to do your own research before making a purchase.

What are the best internet plans for streaming Hubbl?

If you’ve decided to purchase Hubbl, you’ll need to make sure yourinternet planis able to cope with video streaming requirements. Generally, you’ll find the Standard Plus NBN 50 speed tier is likely the best option for high-definition video streaming, especially if you have multiple users streaming simultaneously.

As for Ultra HD 4K (which Hubbl does offer on select content and compatible devices), you’ll most likely need a plan on theNBN 100 speed tier, which is recommended by NBN Co as the speed tier required for this quality of streaming.

Keep in mind there are many factors that can affect the NBN speeds you experience, especially during high-traffic times in the evening. When researching NBN plans, it’s worth comparing the expected peak evening speeds listed by the providers to give you a rough indication of typical performance.
