Accessing the Map

The map may be accessed from Wynncraft website's menu, or by going directly to https://map.wynncraft.com.

Wynncraft is an RPG Minecraft Server founded by Grian, Salted and Jumla in 2011.

The server's world has an approximate size of 4,400 by 5,500 blocks, and consists of two continents, Wynn and Gavel, divided by an ocean with islands. Wynncraft's design is inspired by the MMORPG RuneScape, and as of 2021, it has hundreds of quests.

Loot Crates are an in-game cosmetic package that can be purchased directly from the Wynncraft Store (you can claim one crate each month for free) or received daily as a perk after purchasing V.I.P. + or HERO rank.

Place a Compass in the middle of a Crafting Table, then put 8 Paper in the remaining blocks. Equip and use the Map, and then walk around to fill it out. Purchase maps from a Cartographer for 8 Emeralds, or find them in sunken ships, stronghold libraries, and chests.

In general, the primary level cap on any given character is 105; however, a "bonus level" can be achieved at the true level cap of 106.

I just started playing and honestly, I'm kind of blown away at how much they've been able to do with this game. I've had more fun in Wynncraft (both without and with the Wynntils mod) than I've had in any MMO in recent memory, so I wouldn't knock it for being Minecraft.

The game was created by Markus "Notch" Persson in the Java programming language. Following several early private testing versions, it was first made public in May 2009 before being fully released on November 18, 2011, with Notch stepping down and Jens "Jeb" Bergensten taking over development.

Building. The player is given a 80 x 80 block circular island on which to build. The entire island is able to be built on, including to a depth of 6 blocks below the surface of the island.

How do I start playing Wynncraft? ›

You start the game near the border of the Wynn province. In the first quest, King's Recruit, you have to reach the Ragni Castle. After finishing the tutorial you are free to explore the world however you desire. This guide entails many of the basic mechanics of Wynncraft.

You cannot join with a cracked version of the game.

Open the map screen by pressing M. Move the map around with your mouse and zoom in/out using the mouse wheel, similar to Google Maps. All relevant controls are listed in a tooltip on the map screen and you can customize a lot of them. Optional automatic multiple world detection on servers.

Portal-Lutho travel and the Juggler's Tavern are the only methods of one-way fast travel. A Molten Heights elevator is also used for the Maex Black Market secret discovery. During the Festival of the Blizzard, a technical fast travel exists between Detlas and Lusuco through the Wynnter Fair.
