So I have a question, i get and event that a science ship scaning and anomaly was trasported to another dimesion and some of it crew was missing. After a while I receive a notification that a new science ship appear and that it have the missing crew (and they want to rejoin my empire and they dont rember the time they were missing). I was given the option of having a free science ship or turning it hostile and destroying it. I was RP as an cautious military empire so the logical choise was to purge the ship. The question is for the future playthougth: Is this a event chain for something in the future?, the ship smell "IT A TRAP" from a mile away and I just wanna know if that event leads to something or is just an anomaly that give you a new ship. Sorry for not taking screen shots but at the time it slip my mind and now just want to know.

They're sleeper agents for the Unbidden. If you take them they'll slowly replace your government with energy beings.

I was actually joking. I don't know about whether or not the ship is.
As for crises, you have three possibilities.
1. Sentient AI revolt is based on researching sentient AI. IIRC you need to have at least ~25 synthetics in your empire. This can also happen in other empires with more than ~25 Synth pops. Check on how many synthetic pops there are in the species tab under contacts.
2. Unbidden is based upon researching and using jump drives or psi jump drives. They're based on a random chance of appearing after you research and are using the drives.
3. Prethoryn Scourge is time-dependent, with a 70% chance of appearing by 200 years in. As I understand, they have certain "ticks", at 120-150-200 where the game rolls the dice to see if they appear. I'm not entirely sure on this point.

Had the same event: I was waiting for Unbidden...
I got Prethoryns.
Maybe because the ship exploded by itself... after 1 year of using it (more o less in game time), killing the scientist on board.
No quest chain associated with it.
I would have liked Unbidden more...

Realtalk: Having them be secret Unbidden who are trying to size up your galaxy for eating would be amazing. Have the scientist propose a shortcut to getting jump drives or something and then you`re like wow that`s cool. Then they open up a portal to the Unbidden.

I got that event and what happens is not as exciting as one might think. What happened is that you just get a free science ship that gets renamed 'from the other side' or close to that effect. That's it! There is no downside and , for my playthrough at least, the chain ended right there.
Now keep in mind that this game does change things up with events based on what ethics or skills you have so I wouldn't say that it's set in stone.
I have run into one anomaly where my science ship had skill in rockets (?... it was a yellow skill that looked like two missiles) and I had a third option based on the rocket symbol that allowed me to turn on a old robot station to terraform the planet from toxic to what my people liked and gave a bonus on the planet.

I don't think it's related to anything. Same for the Exile event apparently.
I accepted the ship, and never had the Unbidden, only the Hak Hak Hak beholders.

Actually it's supposed to create a faction of "5th Dimensionalists" in your empire. Not sure what happens from there, or if it's working properly. The event files are a little weird and seem to suggest that you get the hostile faction if you DON'T let the duplicate science ship back.

LOL they only laugh because they think you won't survive what they're running from.

5th Dimensionalists is the name of the faction the ship belongs to if you decide to destroy it. They only have the one ship.

There is a downside: you can't upgrade that ship. No big deal if you're wormhole but otherwise if you get it at beginning of a game, it sucks.

Its a free ship... when it becomes hopelessly obsolete either delete it or put it around one of your worlds on Assist Research.

It's one of those events like the Exile that are crying out for more writing. Things like this event make the game, it's a shame they don't turn into something meaningful.

Another event (chain?) I'd love to see expanded on is the rogue scientist one from Observation Posts. A scientist goes missing, and it turns out s/he's messing with the natives, but nothing much really seems to come from it.
We can hope for future expansion though, IIRC the "In Limbo" event wasn't much on release, only giving you the option to "Leave it" or "Download to give to a Xenophile FE later". Of course, it still could use some expanding and building on even now, but it's progress!

But it looks really cool. I just keep it around because of the look of it.

Yep. Also that science ship is locked to your basic FTL type and can't be changed. I usually scrap it.
