21Taqueria Los MagueyesAs far as Mexican food is concerned, I would recommend Taqueria Los Magueyes on Euclid and 8th Street, the food is delicious and the staff are so sweet. Gloria's in Ontario on Euclid and "D" Street is also really good. I feel pretty confident you will be happy with both.N.S ·Neighbor since 2021
139Padua Pasta MakersPadua Pasta Makers I WILL NEVER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO PADUA EVER AGAIN! I live in a historic home walking distance from Padua and have been a customer since I moved here in 2019. The food is convenient because of walking distance but not above average in any way. Either way, I like to support small businesses and love being part of the downtown Upland area. I went in today with my husband and two young children. I placed an order for 3 sandwiches and some deli stuff. I ordered a sandwich that I have ordered since March 2019 that has added goat cheese. When I gave the woman (THE OWNER) my order she paused and loudly said, "goat cheese!!!?" as she huffed. I said yes, I always order this sandwich and she asked if it was a lot added. I said no just a layer to which she paused, smirked and shook her head. I asked if there was a problem and she said I have to charge you extra, I said ok and she said she would ask her girls how they charge me. I walked away feeling judged and upset about the exchange, even my 12 year old commented on the exchange. While we were browsing and waiting for our order my husband noticed THE OWNER staring and pointing at me with 2 of her employees. My husband walked over and politely and quietly asked if there was a problem. The owner yelled back at him, "YES, THERE IS A PROBLEM! and something about none of her girls ever made my sandwich that way and she has to weigh the goat cheese. I heard this from across the store and walked up to the counter, put my ticket down and said I would like to cancel my order since it was such a problem, I had already told her the extra charge would be fine. A young girl (who has made my problem sandwich several times before) asked if I was sure to which I responded, yes and that I could not believe what was happening. I have spent $$$$ on food, cards, or decor here since 2019. It is absolutely despicable the way my family were treated today. There is no response this business will surely try to give to excuse being yelled at for an order request. There was plenty of time to remedy the situation but instead we were allowed to leave feeling distressed and mostly embarrassed because the whole store was staring. I will pass on this knowledge to friends and family dining in the area. ***A side note, a few people have called me names online and posted false reviews to make it seem like I am lying or overreacting over goat cheese. This isn't about goat cheese, I could care less, it was about being treated like garbage and being shamed out of a business we used to frequent. Posting an honest review, good or bad doesn't make me a "Karen" or stupid or anything else. Let's hope this business sees all the reviews and makes changes to better service our community***I.Y ·Neighbor since 2020
